MVWB400VQ
Maytag Bravos MVWB400VQ Laundry Washer Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Washer that will not drain
- Cycle that stops partway
- Door or lid switch problems
- Leak under the washer
MVWB400VQ is a Maytag Bravos washer. We know the line and that it is a washer, so any detail beyond that, such as size or loading style, is confirmed from the machine instead of assumed.
A leak under a Bravos washer is worth tracing quickly, since Houston laundry floors are often tile or vinyl over a slab. We dry the area, run a cycle and watch the hose ends, the pump housing and the door or lid seal. For a stopped cycle, the switch and the drain come before the control. If the washer will not drain, the hose and pump come first, since they are simpler and cheaper to test.
We order from whatever the plate shows, in full. A written estimate is yours before work begins, and labor carries a month of warranty.

My MVWB400VQ leaks. Where do you look first?
Floor dry, cycle running, we watch each connection: supply hoses, drain hose, pump housing and the door or lid seal. Finding the true source avoids a wrong part.
What makes a cycle stop partway?
A switch losing contact, a clogged drain or a control shutting down can each cause it. We begin with the switch and the drain because they are the quickest to confirm.
Will you tell me when a repair is a poor value?
Yes. If the repair would nearly buy a new washer, we write that down and you decide. Plenty of hose, pump and switch repairs are still worth doing.
