The code bE shows up on Maytag Neptune 27-inch front-load washers, the MAH8700A and MAH9700AW families, built around 2005 and 2006. It tells you the control is receiving a motor speed (tach) signal even though the motor is not running. That is a contradiction the control cannot accept, so it stops.
