What F5E2 means

F5E2 means the washer cannot lock its door or lid. On Maytag front-load HE washers (MHW models such as the MHW6630HC), the door is not locking properly, and it can look closed without being latched. On Maytag top-load HE washers (such as the MVWC565FW), including the older Bravos era, the lid lock cannot engage, usually because something sits in the lid lock area. You will find the cycle stopped or never started.
