What E11 or E12 means

E11 and E12 on a Maytag over-the-range microwave and hood combination both point to the gas sensor. With E11, the gas sensor reported a problem to the control board, and with E12 there is a problem with the gas sensor or its wiring. This is the sensor that helps the microwave judge cooking steam, not a sensor for household gas. You will see the code in the display, and sensor-based cooking may not work properly.
