What FC E1, FC E2, FC E3 means
FC E1, FC E2 and FC E3 appear on Maytag built-in wall ovens with Wi-Fi. They mean the oven could not connect to your router. The cause may be a connection time-out, a weak signal at the oven, a router that has failed, the oven's Wi-Fi module, or the wiring to that module. The oven cooks as usual, since Wi-Fi is only for connected features, but remote functions on your phone will not work until the connection is restored.
Common causes of FC E1, FC E2, FC E3
- Weak signal where the oven is installed
- Your router offline or needing a restart
- The oven's Wi-Fi module
- Wiring to the module
1. Check that other devices in the kitchen can use your Wi-Fi. 2. Restart your router. 3. Turn off the oven's circuit breaker for one minute, then turn it on. 4. Wait a minute to see whether the code returns and try connecting again.
- Home network problems are outside our work, so we start with what the oven does

Can I still cook with FC E1 on the display?
Yes, generally. Wi-Fi only supports connected features. Baking, broiling and timers do not depend on it. Clear the code with the breaker reset and use the oven normally.
Do the three codes differ?
They are listed together with the same meaning, the oven could not connect to the router. Treat them the same way, and tell us which one you saw.
Is this a repair for you or my internet provider?
Check your router first. If other devices connect fine near the oven and the code keeps returning, the oven's module or wiring may need attention, and we can test that.
