What Demo Mode, ES, E5, Lo, Pre, PUSH or Sabbath means

On Maytag built-in wall ovens, three of these display items are modes or prompts, not breakdowns. Demo Mode lets a showroom try the features without turning on the heating elements. PUSH or PSH appears when you pick a function but do not press Start within five seconds. Sabbath Mode keeps the oven in Bake until you turn it off, disables other cooking and cleaning cycles and silences tones. We have no wall oven meaning for ES, E5, Lo or Pre.

Why will my oven not heat while Demo Mode is on?

Demo Mode is built for showrooms, so the heating elements are not turned on. It is a setting under the Tools keypad and INFO, not a breakdown.

What does PUSH mean on the display?

It is a reminder to press Start. The oven begins a function only after Start. If you wait about a minute after pressing a key, the function is canceled.

Why do I hear no tones in Sabbath Mode?

Sabbath Mode is built to keep the oven in a bake setting with no tones and no display changes. Other cooking and cleaning cycles stay off until the mode is canceled.
